| Before comparing rates, you should know the different types offered by companies. We offer "Flat" (binding) or "Hourly" rates which are defined under "Rate Info" on this site. Our estimates are based on an inventory (list of items to be moved) and other data collected. Estimates are done by fax, phone, or a visual inspection. Others may offer rates / estimates according to the weight of the truck after it is loaded, by the number of rooms you indicate to be moved, or by the square footage of your home. Estimates are either "Binding" (a guaranteed amount) or "Non-Binding" (the amount is unknown until the job is complete). |

| An "Estimate" is not binding unless the estimator has clearly |
| indicated to you that it is or unless it is written in the contract. |
|
| Estimates based on inventory are more informative, therefore more accurate |
| than most. Inaccurate estimates (under or over) can cause scheduling delays, |
| excess charges, rush jobs resulting in damage, and a variety of other problems. |
|
| You should compare the number of hours and men suggested by each |
| estimator. Most individuals (and some estimators) will underestimate the number |
| of hours and men needed for a safe and efficient move. This can be due |
| to inexperience, overlooking services or extra time needed to move heavy or |
| fragile items safely. It is more likely that the higher number of hours / men estimated will be the accurate. |

| Services included in your estimates may vary with each mover such as: |
| placing boxes /items in rooms and where requested, disassembly / reassembly, disconnect /reconnect, blanketing all furniture moved, stretch wrapping, "dressing" |
| your home (placing blankets on doors and railings, using floor runners carpet floor protection), stair or long carry, extra mileage. Ask if these services are included and if there are any other charges that could be added to your price on moving day. |

| Our binding rate will not change unless you add items / services to your |
| original request or unless you cause a delay in the move (movers have to wait |
| on you). We would be happy to provide you with per item prices on potential |
| add-ons ( extra boxes, items or services ) if you suspect your inventory may change. We assure you our prices are not inflated on moving day and consider these prices to be very reasonable. |

| Your move date/time is guaranteed with the exception of circumstances beyond |
| our control such as inclimate weather and road conditions. If you are unable to |
| reschedule as a result, we will make every effort within reason to accommodate |
| your needs. Under no circumstance will we bump your move to accept another for |
| monetary gain. Unfortunately, there are companies that show up late or not at all |
| as a result of this. |

| Ask if there is a local number you can call if you have any problems such |
| as claims, late or no-show movers, etc. Verify that they can be reached |
| during the time of your scheduled move (evenings and weekends if applicable). |
| We recommend that you ask friends, neighbors, co-workers, and others for any referrals and if they are familiar with any of the movers you are considering. |
